Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

As a nurse practitioner, you will be responsible for providing primary and specialty nursing services. Duties include patient health assessment, creating strategies to improve and manage patient’s health. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced nursing care to our patients. Duties will include performing physical exams, recording patient medical histories, creating and maintain care plans and observing patient’s responses to treatments.

  • Perform physical exams and patient observations
  • Record patient histories and symptoms
  • Create patient care plans and modify existing plans
  • Order and administer diagnostic tests
  • Diagnose health issues
  • Administer and evaluate responses to medications
  • Consult with healthcare professionals

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
  • State RN license
  • Certified by ANCC or AANP
  • Have prescriptive authorization
  • APN authorization
  • Proficient with medical equipment
  • Knowledge of computer based management programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations
  • Prior experience in primary care
